Thats right there’s no typo in the title. We are starting the build up of Nick Moy’s 2002 Nissan Altima. Nick bought this idea to us three years ago at one of our BBQ’s and we thought he was nuts! Well after alot of research we will be making it possible. When completed this will be the worlds first RWD V8 3rd Gen Altima! We are using the VK56DE out of a Nissan Titan. The biggest challenge to come by was the transmission. Nick didn’t want the “No Fun” automatic and without that engine ever comming with a manual option the research started. Nick found that a Infiniti 6-speed G37 transmission looked like a good option, But didn’t bolt up. So, Nick sourced an adaptor plate from down in southern California and even got a custom flywheel milled and a ACT clutch for the project. As you can see in the pictures the engine bay is totally gutted and is waiting for its new heart!
